Francisco Herrera

Francisco Herrera is a 30 year old illustrator who works with major comic book publishers such as DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Wildstorm and Soleil, and also does work for Disney and Warner Brothers in their consumer products divisions. Herrera puts strong draftsmanship skills and good research at the top of his character design prerequisites. He began his professional training at age 15 under the guidance of Humberto Ramos and continues to seek the advice of established artists within the industry. When beginning a character design Herrera first collects as much inspirational material as possible; these can be photographs, fashion images, drawings from other artists, graphic design, clips of animation...anything which might help spark a new idea.
